Teacher FAQs
Clear answers about applying, identity verification, teaching classes, financial terms, and Cankav teacher support.
Application and identity verification
Teachers with the creativity and skills to teach English online to children and teenagers can apply. The mobile number must be registered in the applicant’s own name.
Initial registration collects personal details, national ID, mobile number, a readable national ID image, teaching age groups, and payout details. Identity and mobile number ownership are checked electronically.
The next step remains unavailable until the mismatch is resolved. First check the details against your national ID card. If they are correct, message teacher application support.
No. Once information, documents, and the agreement are complete, the application goes to Cankav for final review. Teacher access is enabled after approval.
Classes and classroom tools
The system creates and displays class links for you. You do not need to create or send them manually. Several free classroom services are available in the teacher dashboard; once selected, the link appears automatically in the student dashboard.
First check joining status and the error description. If the issue cannot be resolved immediately, message support from the teacher dashboard to arrange an alternative online classroom. The new link appears in the student dashboard without manual sending.
Yes. Links, joining, and session follow-up must go through the Cankav dashboard. Classes outside official channels are permitted only exceptionally, with support coordination.
Check the connection or audio device immediately where possible. If the class cannot continue, report the issue on that class’s page so its status and a replacement time can be reviewed using technical records and booking terms.
Use a desktop or laptop for better control of audio, video, and teaching materials. Teach in a quiet, well-lit space with a tidy background and stable internet. Test the camera and microphone beforehand.
Attendance, absence, and cancellation
The option to mark a student absent becomes available seven minutes after the scheduled start. Once recorded and reviewed, the session counts as held and one session is deducted from the student’s package.
Classes start and end at the booked times. Student lateness does not extend the session. If a system disruption caused the delay, report it immediately to support for review.
If seven minutes have passed and no teacher entry is recorded, the parent can report teacher absence. After review, no session is deducted from the family’s package and the class status is shown in the dashboard.
A group class starts when the teacher and first student join at the booked time. Later arrivals do not change the end time.
Changes require a review of the impact on every student and Cankav’s approval. Submit the request from the class page. The original time remains valid until approval.
Each booking’s rules appear before confirmation. Those rules inform the session’s financial outcome, and cancellations or disputes can be tracked in the class record.
Privacy and professional conduct
No. Recording audio, video, screens, or class content without Cankav’s explicit written permission is prohibited. Privacy and professional conduct rules are provided before applying and must be followed. Breach reports are reviewed and may result in restricted access.
Yes. The camera must remain on throughout the class for better communication, child safety, and teacher identification. Report technical issues immediately to support so continuation or rescheduling can be decided.
All class, homework, rescheduling, and support messages must remain in official Cankav channels. Adding personal phone numbers, emails, or social media IDs to profiles, or private contact outside educational purposes, is prohibited.
For child protection or service quality, an authorized Cankav representative may briefly join without recording. The visit and reason are logged, the observer does not interrupt normal teaching, and any finding affecting your access or record is shared through the dashboard with an opportunity to respond.
Teachers’ appearance, speech, and behaviour should be professional, respectful, and appropriate for teaching children. Smoking, eating, disrespect, or unrelated activities during class are prohibited, and reports are reviewed.
Do not investigate personally or argue with the child or family. Submit a detailed report through the class page or Support for Cankav to review. In immediate danger, stop the class and notify support at once.
Cooperation and financial terms
Yes. You enter your own bookable times. Classes can run during Cankav’s operating window, 7 a.m. to midnight. This window is not a fixed shift or working schedule.
No. There are no shifts, minimum hours, or minimum class counts, and you may work with other organizations. Previously confirmed classes must be taught or resolved through official rescheduling and support channels.
Yes. You can decline a request before it is confirmed. That decision alone does not trigger a warning, a reduced share, or account restrictions. Once confirmed, a class must be taught or resolved through official channels.
Classes are playful and follow child protection rules. Each course has defined structure and goals. Within that framework, teachers choose explanations, pace, and activities suited to the student.
The base teaching fee and calculation method appear in the financial terms and agreement steps. Each booking’s exact amount, based on duration, is shown before acceptance. Rate changes apply only to future classes after your separate acceptance.
Families must pay through Cankav’s official gateway or a payment route announced by official Cankav support. Teachers must not give families personal card or bank account details to collect class fees.
You can submit up to two payout requests per Jalali month. Each request can cover up to 90% of available earnings, with the exact limit shown before submission in the financial dashboard.
Payouts go only to an IBAN in the teacher’s own name, recorded and verified in the dashboard. Requests using someone else’s IBAN are not accepted.
View the amount, included classes, review status, and payment result in Earnings. If a request remains unchanged beyond the period stated on that page, contact financial support.
Support and accounts
Do not create another account. Submit a ticket titled “Request teacher role” from your current dashboard to add the role to that account.
Open the teacher application flow with the same mobile number. After verification, the system shows the last completed step.
No. Each teacher has one account with their own identity and mobile number. If you cannot access your previous account, ask support to restore it rather than create another.
Do not share verification codes or account access. Report suspicious sign-ins immediately. Identity, educational, and professional information must remain accurate and current. Contact support to correct verified details.
Update future availability whenever your schedule changes. Your regular weekly schedule continues until changed. Editing availability does not delete or reschedule confirmed classes.
There are no mandatory weekly or periodic meetings. If there is a documented complaint, safety incident, or question about a specific class, you must provide an explanation or suggest a suitable time to discuss it. The issue and outcome are communicated through the dashboard or support.
Close future available slots or disable your weekly schedule. Previously confirmed bookings must still be taught or resolved through official rescheduling and support channels.
Use Teacher application support while registering, and dashboard Support after activation. Messages and replies stay in the same record.
